Austin, TX. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday night in Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, the accident happened on East State Highway 71 at Highway 183 at around 9 p.m.
The adult pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
It remains unclear whether speed or impairment played a role in the crash
