The fatal pedestrian accident occurred on the State Highway 71 ramp and US 183, according to the Austin Police Department.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
