Killeen, TX. – Two people were killed in a head-on collision on Monday morning in Killeen.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened in the 700 block of East Stan Schlueter Loop near Trimmier Road at around 7:40 a.m.

A 2024 gray Toyota driven by a 41-year-old man was traveling westbound when it veered into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 2016 gray Kia SUV driven by a 77-year-old man.

The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger of the Kia, a 73-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Kia driver was taken to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center with critical injuries.

It was not immediately clear whether impairment was a factor.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
