Newton County, TX. – Two boys, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, were killed in a crash involving a four-wheeler on Saturday night in Newton County.
According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on State Highway 87 near County Road 3036 at around 10:15 p.m.
56-year-old Gary Riley was driving a pickup truck northbound when he struck a southbound four-wheeler operated by a 14-year-old boy.
The boy and his 15-year-old passenger were taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
No further details regarding the collision were released.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the collision.
