Taylor County, TX – A woman was killed, and two other people were injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Taylor County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal collision happened around 7:12 a.m. on May 4 on the Interstate 20 southbound service road near exit 274.

DPS said Anna Louise McGuire, 74, of Tye, was driving a 2006 Hyundai Electra westbound on the service road, approaching the yield sign at the exit. Tristan Andrew Harding, 22, of Weatherford, was driving a 2024 Kia Forte eastbound on the interstate and was trying to exit at 274.

McGuire failed to yield the right of way and collided with the Kia.

McGuire was taken to Hendrick North, where she was pronounced dead. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

A 14-year-old passenger in the Hyundai was taken to Hendrick North with serious injuries. She was also wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

Harding was also taken to Hendrick North with minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt.

The weather conditions were clear, and the road was dry at the time of the collision.

The DPS is investigating the collision.
