Pecos County, TX – A woman was killed early Friday morning in a car accident in Pecos County, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly collision happened around 3:00 a.m. on May 1 on Interstate 10 near mile marker 245.
DPS said Terri K. Davis was driving westbound when her car drifted into the northbound shoulder and left the roadway. She attempted to re-enter the highway and overcorrected, which caused the car to skid across the roadway and travel through the southbound shoulder and into the center median.
The car rolled onto its side, ejecting Davis. She was then struck by an eastbound semi-truck.
Davis died at the scene.
The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the collision.
The collision remains under investigation.
