Montgomery County, TX – A person was killed on Thursday in a hit-and-run accident in Montgomery County, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident happened on May 7 in the 15000 block of U.S. Highway 59.
Authorities said Jeremy Michael Buckner, 35, of Porter, was driving when he struck Gary Belvin.
Belvin was killed in the accident.
Buckner fled the scene after the accident. He was arrested on Saturday, May 9, and was charged with collision involving injury or death, a second-degree felony. He was being held at the Montgomery County Jail.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
