Houston, TX – One person was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday in Houston, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened on May 10 on South State Highway 6.
Police said a black Land Rover Range Rover Sport was traveling southbound when it struck a male pedestrian.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The Range Rover fled the scene after the accident. It was later found stalled with major front-end damage. The driver, Godspower Oniovosa, 50, was arrested and returned to the scene. He was charged with failure to stop and render aid involving death.
The police are investigating the accident.
