The driver of the Chevrolet, 22-year-old Luis Amaro Ornelas Nieto, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries

Ector County, TX. – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, May 23, in Ector County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at the intersection of West 16th Street and Tripp Avenue at around 5:10 a.m.
A 2020 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound on Tripp Avenue when it entered the intersection and struck a Polo traveling westbound on West 16th Street.
The driver of the Polo, 39-year-old Oscar Hernandez, and his passenger, 18-year-old Victoria Rosales, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 22-year-old Luis Amaro Ornelas Nieto, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
