Polk County, TX. – A man was injured in a crash involving two vehicles on Wednesday morning in Polk County.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on U.S. Highway 59 at FM 1987 at around 4:21 a.m.

A 1991 International tractor-trailer towing a flatbed trailer was traveling southbound when it failed to yield the right of way while attempting to turn back north in a crossover and pulled into the path of a northbound 2024 Freightliner, and the two trucks collided.

Paramedics rushed one man to Herman Memorial Houston with minor injuries.

More details on the accident were not available.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
