Dallas, TX – A person was killed early Wednesday morning after being struck by a drunk driver in Dallas, according to the police.
The deadly accident was reported around 12:30 a.m. on May 27 on I-635 near Preston Road.
Police said Mohammad Obeidat was standing outside a tow truck pulling a disabled vehicle onto the flatbed when a truck driven by Robert Watson, 53, crashed into him and the tow truck.
Watson’s truck flipped after the collision.
Obeidat was killed in the accident.
Watson admitted to have had beer before driving. He was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. He was booked into the Dallas County Jail, and his bond was set at $100,000. He had previously been arrested on DWI charges in 1994, 2007, 2013, and 2015.
The police are investigating the accident.
