Gaytan was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.

Midland County, TX. – A 47-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Friday night in Midland County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened in the 1100 block of Fairgrounds Road at 11:30 p.m.
19-year-old Eduardo Gaytan was driving a 2013 Hyundai northbound when he entered the southbound lane and collided with a 2021 Ducati motorcycle traveling southbound.
The motorcyclist, William Smedley, 47, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Gaytan was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
