Denton County, TX – The man who was killed Saturday morning in a motorcycle accident in Denton County has been identified as Shane Stean Mozingo, 34, of Sanger, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 11:45 a.m. on May 23 on FM 455 near Hub Clark Road.

DPS said Mozingo was riding a motorcycle eastbound at a high rate of speed. He braked to avoid hitting an eastbound vehicle, lost control, and laid the motorcycle down. The motorcycle slid into the westbound lane, where it struck a pickup truck and was pushed into the eastbound lane, where it collided with a vehicle.

Mozingo died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The pickup truck driver was uninjured in the accident.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
