Killeen, TX – The two people who were killed on Monday in a wrong-way collision in Killeen have been identified as 41-year-old Andre Richmond and 73-year-old Rosa Hernandez, according to the police.
The fatal collision happened around 7:40 a.m. on June 1 on Stan Schlueter Loop.
Police said Richmond was driving westbound in the inside lane when he crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed head-on into a Kia SUV.
The Kia driver, a 77-year-old man, and the passenger, Hernandez, were taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, where Hernandez later died.
Richmond was pronounced dead at the scene. He might have been impaired at the time of the accident.
The Killeen Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the collision.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened in the 700 block of East Stan Schlueter Loop near Trimmier Road at around 7:40 a.m.
A 2024 gray Toyota driven by a 41-year-old man was traveling westbound when it veered into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 2016 gray Kia SUV driven by a 77-year-old man.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger of the Kia, a 73-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Kia driver was taken to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center with critical injuries.
It was not immediately clear whether impairment was a factor.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
